TEXT: Hebrews 9:23-28

 

TOPIC: LIVE UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE HIGH PRIEST

 

As believers, we are challenged to practice our Christianity with ultimate purity under the supervision of the divine High Priest.

The man-made sanctuary in the Old Testament was just an image of the true one that was yet to be revealed.

In times of old, the high priest went into the holy of holies once a year with sacrifices that were not personal.

But Jesus changed that by sacrificing Himself once and for all for the purpose of wiping away human sins.

This is an experience that only a believer in a good walking relationship with Jesus understands.

Therefore, there is a compelling need for Christians to live in view of Jesus as their High Priest. This is because He will soon return for the salvation of those anticipating His second coming.

QUESTION: What stands out for you in today’s text?

 

PRAYER: Father, thank You for the role You are playing as my High Priest. The hope of Your return is encouraging me to persevere even more. Amen.
