Morning Reflections: Starting the Day with God

TUESDAY, 8 OCTOBER 2024

 

TEXT: Hebrews 8:1-13

 

TOPIC: WE HAVE A HIGH PRIEST

 

A high priest as a mediator by offering gifts and sacrifices to God. As very demanding as that role was, it was only a copy and a shadow of the reality found in Christ Jesus.

Christ is a High Priest, superior to all the earthly ones because He used His blood as sacrifice.

This is because in the first covenant, the followers faulted the process through the use of animals’ blood.

We have a new covenant in Christ (Romans 11:27). Our relationship with  Jesus should make us store His law in our minds and have it written in our hearts.

In these end times, God should be who He is while we remain His people. With Christ in us, the old covenant ceases to be relevant.

QUESTION: What role is the High Priest (Jesus) playing in your life now?

PRAYER: Father, I am helpless without You dwelling in me. Humble me to see You as the High Priest of my life, in Jesus name. Amen.
