Hebrews 13:1-19
TOPIC:
KEY COMPONENTS OF CHRISTIAN LIVING
Today’s passage
motivates us to keep loving others not because of what they have to offer us
but because God commands us to do so.
Loving the brethren
should extend to remembering those in prison and those being mistreated. We are
also challenged to sit up in our marriages by honoring the marriage bed and
keeping it pure.
The passage cautioned
us to replace the love for money with contentment for in that, God promises not
to leave or forsake us.
We are tasked to
remember spiritual leaders who preach God’s word and imitate their faith. In
looking for the city that is to come, we should hold onto Jesus and keep doing
good by sharing with others.
Leaders should be
generally respected because they keep watch over their followers. The final key
word is prayer so that every Christian should have a clear conscience in the
journey of faith.
QUESTION:
What is your attitude towards loving others, entertaining strangers, your
marriage and respect for leaders?
PRAYER:
Father, I need Your grace to be able to appreciate these key components that
demonstrate my genuine walking relationship with You, in Jesus name. Amen.
