2 CORINTHIANS 1:1-11
TOPIC:
WE SERVE A COMPASSIONATE GOD
Today's
passage is an affirmation that we serve a compassionate Father: In Him is
comfort that comes in the face of all troubles. We experience this so that we
can comfort others.
This
Christian comfort has the ability to produce endurance. This is because we
share in both His suffering and comfort.
Paul
and his colleagues went through harsh experiences in the province of Asia.
However, to Paul, that happened in order to replace their self-reliance with
complete trust in God. For that, Paul was optimistic that Jesus who began the
act of deliverance will not relent but accomplish it.
Again,
prayer is emphasized for firmness that will lead to appreciating God for
favouring His followers.
QUESTION: In
what way has God been compassionate to you?
PRAYER: Father,
I pray that You will provide what it takes for me to endure whatever I pass
through today, realizing that You are compassionate, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
