TEXT:
Hebrews 11:17-40
TOPIC:
BY FAITH
The drama between
Abraham and Isaac was a demonstration of faith because God has the power to
take and restore life. Blessing someone is an act of faith because it is God
that authenticates the wishes of man on his fellow human being.
For Joseph to give instructions
about his bones while he was still alive means he saw what his contemporaries
did not see.
Moses chose to be
maltreated along with his fellow Israelites. He detached himself from Egypt and
kept the Passover by using blood to save the firstborn and led his people to
cross the Red Sea.
The collapse of the
wall of Jericho was by faith. The acceptance of the spies by Rahab was an act
of faith.
The passage also
mentioned Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets who
demonstrated acts of faith through one humiliation or the other.
They went through all
because the world was not worthy of them.
QUESTION:
What are you doing to qualify you as part of these heroes of faith?
PRAYER:
Father, help me fan my faith to a level that one day I can be included among
these heroes, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
