TEXT:
Matthew 24:32-39
32:
“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and
its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.
33:
Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the
door.
34:
Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these
things have happened.
35:
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
36:
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor
the Son, but only the Father.
37:
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
38:
For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and
giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;
39:
and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took
them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

TOPIC:
COUNTING DOWN TO THE END
Many
have wondered and speculated so much about the end of the world and the coming
of Christ. Of all the guesses and speculations that have been made, none has
hit the target.
However,
when we consider the text for this last devotion of February, we see that Jesus
Christ had already given us a clue. This is seen in the signs of the last days
that have already started manifesting. We wake up every day to these realities
and yet keep living as if this life will last forever.
We
do not need to know the specific day or hour that the world will end because we
have already been told the signs to look out for.
The
people of Noah's days allowed unbelief to take advantage of them. Let's not
live like that. Let's draw closer to God. Let's intensify our reach to
unbelievers. Let's invest more in Kingdom work. The clock is ticking. The
hourglass is almost empty. Jesus will soon be here. The vision that waits for
an appointed time will soon be made manifest.
Take
these thoughts with you today, this week, this month, this year and the many
more ahead that God will give you until He comes.
QUESTION:
Why are you living as if the end is still far?
PRAYER:
The end is at hand. Help me not to just know it but live in the assurance that
I believe it, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
