burning,
KEEP YOUR LAMPS BURNING
The phrase “Keep your lamps burning,” which is
ECWA’s theme for 2026, presents a powerful image that requires careful
attention.
Those who use lamps understand the need for
maintaining burning lamp requires looking after the wick and the oil.
Christians are challenged to pay close attention to
their vital elements in their lives that could extinguish their light and
render their testimony ineffective.
Jesus has called His disciples the light of the
world, and He desires that their lives reflect this truth in their
surroundings.
We must examine our lives to see if our lights are
still burning and determine how brightly they shine as we remain witnesses in
our communities.
Throughout February, we will consider parables that
emphasize this theme.
QUESTION: Are you ready, with your lamps constantly
burning?
PRAYER: Gracious God, please help me to understand
Your desires for my life as we journey through 2026. Amen.
