“Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps
burning,
BE DRESSED READY FOR SERVICE
The ECWA theme for this year is drawn from a parable
that urges every Christian to remain alert, as the second coming of the Lord is
near.
Jesus shared this parable with His disciples,
challenging them to do two things: to be dressed and ready for service and to
keep their lamps burning.
The importance of preparation cannot be overstated
as we journey through life without knowing when it may end.
God expects us to be prepared at all times, for He
might call us home when we least expect it, or He might return to bring an end
to this world.
Every Christian is called to be sensitive and to
actively maintain their relationship with God so that the Devil does not lead
them astray, causing them to lose focus of their calling.
QUESTION: Are you dressed and ready to carry out the
responsibilities given to you?
PRAYER: Help me, dear Lord, to remain conscious of
the relationship that You have established with me and to be sensitive to Your
needs in my life. Amen.
