OPEN SECRET HATRED
The unexpected appearance
of Jesus in the temple triggered questions and curiosity in the minds of the
masses, especially when Jesus taught powerfully in the public domain.
The question raised by
the masses was, “Isn’t this man they are trying to kill?” The general public
knew that the religious leaders hated Jesus and wanted to kill Him.
Hatred between leaders is
an open secret. When there is hatred and enmity between a senior pastor and an
associate, between a DCC chairman and a secretary, or even among leaders at the
top, people are aware of it.
People know exactly who
the victim is and who the terror is. Leaders usually pretend and fake a
semblance of normalcy and companionship in public, but people can easily
decipher the hypocrisy.
When an enemy is
preaching, some leaders fake smiling approval, but people are not fools. People
still ask, “Isn’t this the man they are trying to kill? Here he is preaching
publicly, and they are nodding with smiling toleration.”
QUESTION: Do
you know that hatred among leaders is an open secret?
PRAYER: Please, dear Lord, help our leaders to stop being
hypocritical, feigning friendship while fanning the embers of hatred. Amen.
