Anchored in Christ: Strength for the Storms of Life

TOPIC: OLD TESTAMENT AUTHENTIFICATION OF CHRIST’S MESSIAHSHIP

 

Matthew reveals that the Old Testament can be used to prove the identity of Christ as the Messiah.

Prophet Jeremiah said that when we follow and call on God, He will show us great and unsearchable things (Jeremiah 33:3).

Here, we see Jesus, Peter James and John the brother of James going to a mountain (vs. 1) to have a taste of Jesus’ glory about which He had told them (cf. Matthew 16:27, 28).

Moses and Elijah also appear. This is a confirmation that Jesus is far above these two prophets. Now that we have a confirmation from the prophets, we should let the world know that Christ is indeed the anointed Messiah.

 

QUESTION: Do you use every available opportunity to share the good news that Christ is the Saviour?

 

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing Yourself to me. May many more people acknowledge You through me. Amen.
