Faith That Moves Mountains: Encouragement for Every Season

TEXT: Matthew 28:1-15

 

TOPIC: HE’S ALIVE

 

Wow! It is Easter Sunday. Jesus has risen and is alive! The devil and his cohorts have been put to shame. All of their security architecture and surveillance were disarmed.

The soldiers were sternly warned to safe guard the tomb against the possible theft of Jesus’ body by His disciples (Matthew 27:64-66).

However, the conspirators did not understand that death cannot defeat Jesus, neither can the grave hold Him.

An earthquake dislodged the soldiers on duty and a single angel rolled away the stone placed at the entrance of the tomb. The blazing appearance of the angel turned the security guards into dead men (vs. 4).

The angel assured the women of His resurrection and told them not to be afraid because Jesus was alive.

No amount of bribery could pervert the truth of His resurrection. From the grave He arose with a mighty triumph. He arose a victor from the dark domain. And He lives forever with His saints to reign forever and ever.

 

QUESTION: Is Christ alive in your life?

 

PRAYER: Father Almighty, may the power that rose Jesus from the dead be alive in me as I live for You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
