TOPIC: STANDING
IN THE PLACE OF PRAYER
Prayer deals with
supplication either for your own benefit or that of others. Today’s text
portrays a heart in distress (Psalm 30:2; 2 Corinthians 12:8).
Inasmuch as we need
people to stand with us in prayer, the person that is burdened should endeavour
to take their troubles to God in prayer because the men or friends you depend
on may fail you (vs. 40) not because they are not willing to pray but because
of the weakness of their bodies (vs. 41d).
The fact remains that the
way to deal with temptation is constant prayer because it is essential to
demonstrate God’s strength against the devil’s power over one’s situation.
QUESTION: What
challenge are you going through?
PRAYER: Dear
Lord, grant me the strength, willingness and determination to stand in prayer
with those in need or are heart broken, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
