TEXT: Matthew
26:6-13
TOPIC: A
BEAUTIFUL LEGACY
Today’s passage focuses
on the actions of Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus, who poured a very
expensive oil on Jesus. She did not mind its cost, unlike some of us today.
The price did not bother
her because she placed more value on Jesus than the disciples, especially Judas
Iscariot, did on the oil.
Mary showed complete
devotion in sharp contrast with Judas’ betrayal. This is also the kind of
devotion Mary exhibited in John 12:1-3, which Jesus commended.
Jesus was not ignoring
the needs of the poor (Deut. 15:11) because He directed us to care for the poor
and the needy. Mary made a big sacrifice for Jesus which has remained a
beautiful legacy in the Bible up till today.
QUESTION: What
legacy will you like to leave behind after your life on earth?
PRAYER: O
Lord, you are my all in all, help me to live for You and value You more than
the most expensive things on earth, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Remain
Blessed
