TOPIC:
THE LORD SEARCHES THE HEART
In ordinary terms, the
heart is that fleshy internal organ in a human anatomy responsible for pumping
blood to the body.
Metaphorically speaking
however, in line with today’s passage, the heart is the seat of human emotions
from where decisions are taken.
So, the challenge is,
how do we seek God with all our heart? The prophet Jeremiah gives us the
answer. The heart that seeks and finds God is the one He has searched and
examined.
Even though the heart
is said to be beyond cure, it is not beyond God. As the Lord searches the
heart, He heals, regenerate, mends, and refocuses it to do His will.
This is the greatest
miracle there is! Believers are all broken but mended people. Are you saved?
Has the LORD searched your heart? Has He fixed it?
QUESTION:
Have you checked your spiritual heartbeat recently?
PRAYER:
Search me, O God, and know my heart today. Try me, O Savior, know my thoughts,
I pray. See if there be some wicked way in me. Cleanse me from every sin, in
Jesus’ name. Amen.
