Matthew 19:16-23
TOPIC:
SEEKING GOD WITH YOUR WEALTH
Jesus Christ
acknowledged the challenge of wealth militating against a person’s quest for
God when He talked about the impossibility of serving God and money (Luke
16:13).
Christ is not saying
that it is bad to make money, He is cautioning against making money a master.
It is said that money
is a good servant but a bad master! When you seek God who owns all, He gives
you all in accordance with His will.
People get the whole
thing twisted when they seek wealth and assume that they will come back later
to seek God. It is not possible! In fact, when money masters a person, it does
not release him to serve another master.
Begin this weekend by
channeling your wealth toward serving God: support mission work, help the
needy, give towards any God-directed cause and you are already seeking God with
your wealth!
QUESTION:
Do you count yourself too poor to seek God with what you have?
PRAYER:
Lord, beyond giving me what to give, give me a heart of giving. Amen.

Remain
Blessed
