Genesis 4:13-25
TOPIC:
SIN, THE GREATEST TRAGEDY
The greatest tragedy of
sin is preventing us from being in the presence of God.
Right from the onset,
when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit and sinned against God, when they
heard God’s footsteps, they ran away from His presence.
And as sin matured, as
we see in the case of Cain, man ran further and further away from God’s
presence.
Thanks, praise, and
glory be to God, however, that through Christ, the Living Way, we can return
and abide in God’s presence.
Hebrews 10:19-23 says, “Therefore,
brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of
Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his
body… let us draw near to God with sincere heart in full assurance of faith,
having our bodies washed with pure water.”
QUESTION:
Are you running away from God because of one sin or another?
PRAYER:
Oh Lord, grant me the grace to confess and forsake my sin that would keep me
away from Your presence, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
