TEXT:
JOHN 9:1-12
TOPIC:
CHRIST HAS POWER OVER HOPELESS SITUATIONS
In
2019, COVID-19 ravaged the world. Many people were restricted to their homes.
Everywhere was locked up. The compassionate God came to the aid of the people
that were suffering and provided a solution. That same God is still with His
people today.
In
today's text, Jesus is still in the ministry of compassionate care for His
people. Jesus was passing by those who intended to stone him but He was not
shaken or disturbed.
In
this text, a man was born blind and the disciples wanted to know whose fault it
was. They thought the blindness was caused by sin. They were not interested in
helping him but Jesus was concerned about his predicament.
Jesus
told them that the man's predicament was not as a result of his parents' sin
but due to man's fallen nature in general. Through this man's case, the
specific work of God would be revealed - which is to heal and bring hope to a
hopeless situation.
Brethren,
our problem in this country is not physical but spiritual blindness. God
overruled the disaster of the man's blindness by curing it so that people could
experience His power and glorify Him.
Christ
can deal with each man as his need requires. The text demonstrates that our God
is able, He can do what seems to be impossible. We should trust Him to do the
impossible.
QUESTION: Are
you passing through a situation that appears to be hopeless?
PRAYER: Lord,
make a way where there seems to be no way. Oh Lord, our heavenly father, we
pray for those who are in a hopeless situation, we pray that You give them hope
and make a way for those who are suffering, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
