JOB 42:1-17
TOPIC:
THE LORD ANSWERS JOB (3)
Here,
God responded to Job using another remarkable animal (Leviathan). Job confessed
his presumption and lack of knowledge about God.
God's
power to save is demonstrated in the God who can master both the Behemoth and
the Leviathan. This same God can accomplish every purpose in Job's life. Satan
was behind Job's suffering, but Job did not know. Sometimes, God may permit
Satan to test a believer.
Job,
having seen God, was convicted of his sin and was now retracting his previous
statement that he made in ignorance. This ended the conflict between God and
Satan and demonstrated that the victory belonged to God and Job. God allowed
Job to suffer to humiliate the accuser (satan). This has been accomplished in
the story of Job.
Finally,
Job's friends were rebuked for their roles and Job was vindicated. Job was
blessed once again and was accepted by his friends.
QUESTION: Have
you said something unworthy of God because of what you are going through?
PRAYER: Lord, help me not to accuse You wrongly in my times of trials, tribulations and persecution. Help me to understand more about You in my times of suffering. Help me to forgive and accept those who accuse me wrongly, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
