TEXT: Jeremiah
29:21-23
21: This is what the Lord
Almighty, the God of Israel, says about Ahab son of Kolaiah and Zedekiah son of
Maaseiah, who are prophesying lies to you in my name: “I will deliver them into
the hands of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will put them to death
before your very eyes.
22: Because of them, all
the exiles from Judah who are in Babylon will use this curse: ‘May the Lord
treat you like Zedekiah and Ahab, whom the king of Babylon burned in the fire.’
23: For they have done
outrageous things in Israel; they have committed adultery with their neighbors’
wives, and in my name they have uttered lies—which I did not authorize. I know
it and am a witness to it,” declares the Lord.

TOPIC: GOD’S
VOICE IN THE MIDST OF FALSE PROPHETS
One of the reasons God
used Babylon to punish Israel was false prophets making false prophesies. God
considered this act a serious affront to His name and image.
The Lord, Yahweh, was so
offended by this action that not only did those who prophesied falsely were
killed but a curse template was given to the Israelites on how to treat those
who lie in God's name.
But many false prophets
are still preaching false prophecies today. And many people are falling victim,
unfortunately.
This is because many are
not seeking God enough to discern His voice in the midst of the many false
voices of our time.
These false prophets and
voices look and sound more appealing and convincing than what comes from God!
In seeking God you can sieve the truth from falsehood.
QUESTION:
Are you close enough with God to be able to detect falsehoods peddled as the
truth?
PRAYER:
In seeking You, please give me the spiritual sensors to discern Your voice
amidst the voices of men. Amen.

Remain
Blessed
