Job 2:1-13
TOPIC:
JOB’S HEALTH CHALLENGES
After
a while, God still told Satan that Job was beyond comparison on earth as he
remained blameless, upright, feared Him was a man who maintained his integrity
even in the midst of immense suffering.
So
God released Job into Satan’s hands, except for his life. Job, who once enjoyed
good health, was now afflicted with painful sores from the soles of his feet to
the top of his head.
Job,
who enjoyed an executive bed, now spent time on ashes. Job, who enjoyed the
company of his wife, now woke up to hear her suggest that he should curse God
and die.
But
in the midst of these challenges, he still believed that when we accept better
moments from God, we should be ready for the bitter as well.
Job’s
condition was so bad that when his friends went to sympathize with him, they
could not recognize him.
QUESTION: What
stands out for you in today’s passage?
PRAYER: Lord,
help me to persevere like Job until You are proud of me, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
