REVELATION 2:1-7
TOPIC:
A CALL TO CONTINUE IN LOVE
The
experiences of many Christians seem to be declining as they continue their
journey of faith on this side of the divide.
This
is mostly due to their entanglements with other people who appear to have some
influence on their lives.
You
see people who were very zealous in prayers, evangelism and attending spiritual
activities suddenly step down and replace that zeal with other things.
The
church at Ephesus had a wonderful commendation from the Lord. The members Were
appreciated for resisting wicked men, working hard for the expansion of the
kingdom of God as well as persevering in the midst of the challenges to their
faith.
Today,
as Christians, we should not dwell on past glories but work hard to remain in
the love we had for God when we first started out.
QUESTION: How
would you rate your commitment to the things of God today compared with the
time you started out?
PRAYER: Help
me, dear Lord, to renew my commitment towards you as I pass through the
challenges of life and make me better than I used to be, in Jesus name. Amen.
