TEXT: Romans 12:1-2

1. So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life – and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.

2. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

TOPIC: CHRISTIAN ETHICS

Doing what is right does not seem to be important to people in today’s world. They prefer to do things that seem right to them, even if they are intrinsically wrong. Since they can provide a logical reason, they go ahead and do whatever they like.

Today’s world has created its own philosophy. But we must battle it as we work to maintain the values that will make a difference. Some say that “the meaning of dance is in the dancing of it and the meaning of Christian life is in the living of it.”

We can only bring out something that is meaningful to our lives and society when we experience the real spiritual life which is only possible when we build Christian ethics.

Our work ethic, patriotism, etc, will change for the better when they are christened. Then, we shall be able to live to please the Lord. We should go out today with a burning desire to make a difference.

QUESTION: How have you contributed to destroying society by the things you do?

PRAYER: Help me, dear Lord, to change my attitude towards life so as to make an impact for You, in Jesus name. Amen.
