TEXT: John 12:36B-43

36B. These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them.

37. But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him,

38. that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke: “Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?”

39. Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again:

40. “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see with their eyes, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.”

41. These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of Him.

42. Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue;

43. for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

(New King James Version Holy Bible)

TOPIC: LISTEN AND BELIEVE (I)

To some people, listening to the word of God has become a hobby while others consider it an entertainment.

They happily read or listen to the word of God without believing or accepting what it teaches.

Therefore, today's passage should remind and encourage us to always be ready to believe the word of God we read and hear.

It is surprising that the Jews saw the miracles Jesus performed and listened to His wonderful, Convincing message, but did not believe Him.

Today's believers should learn to accept and believe the word of God through their ministers and direct reading of the Bible.

Reading and listening to the word of God should produce positive changes in our lives.

QUESTION: Mention some positive changes that listening to and reading God's word have made in your life.

PRAYER: Lord Almighty, grant me the ability to understand and believe Your word, in Jesus name. Amen.

Remain Blessed
