TEXT:
2 Corinthians 5:17-20
17.
When anyone is in Christ, it is a whole new world. The old things are gone;
suddenly everything is new!
18.
All this is from God. Through Christ, God made peace between himself and us.
And God gave us the work of bringing people into peace with him.
19.
I mean that God was in Christ, making peace between the world and himself. In
Christ, God did not hold people guilty for their sins. And he gave us this
message of peace to tell people.
20.
So we have been sent to speak for Christ. It is like God is calling to people
through u. we speak for Christ when we beg you to be at peace with God.

TOPIC:
OFFERING FAITHFUL REPRESENTATION
It
is a gratifying feeling to be on the entourage of an important personality. It
is even more gratifying to be asked to represent such a personality.
Paul,
in our passage for today’s devotion, refers to us as ambassadors of Christ. The
dictionary provides the following synonyms for ambassador: representative,
promoter, champion, supporter, backer and booster.
The
idea is that, as a believer, you represent Christ, you promote Him, you
champion His cause, you support His work, you back Christ in all you do, and
you boost His image and glory wherever you are! Can Christ count on you for
faithful representation or are you like some political delegates in the
Nigerian context, available for the highest bidder?
Christ
has told us in His Word that he who denies Him before men, He will equally deny
before His Father in heaven.
Conversely,
whoever acknowledges Christ before men, He will acknowledge before His Father
in heaven (Matthew 10:32-33). By implication, therefore, if you want Christ to
stand for you, stand for Him as well.
QUESTION:
How are you standing for Christ and in what specific areas are you representing
Him?
PRAYER:
Grant me grace to faithfully represent You. Help me not to deny You in any way.
Amen.
Remain
Blessed
