1 TIMOTHY 1:12-20
TOPIC:
TRUE KNOWLEDGE RESULTS IN GENUINE HUMILITY
If
Paul, the greatest persecutor of believers, could be saved, we should never
think that anyone is beyond salvation and write them off. We must pray for the
grace of God to be available to all so that, if possible, all sinners would
come to repentance. To be called to serve God in whatever capacity is a great
undeserved privilege.
Paul
did not become perfect after he was saved. In fact, the more he knew Christ,
the more he became conscious of his sins! Paul's humility is very admirable. At
the beginning of his ministry, he considered himself the "least of the
apostles" (1 Corinthians 15:9); later the "least of all saints"
(Ephesians 3:8); and now, towards the end of his ministry, the Chief of
sinners! Note that he used present tenses in all cases.
The
more you know God, the humbler you become. Thus, true Knowledge of God results
in genuine humility.
QUESTION:
How much do you know God?
PRAYER:
Oh God, help me this year to truly know You, so that I can be genuinely humble,
in Jesus name. Amen.

Blessed
