Guided by His Hand: Daily Encouragement for Believers

THURSDAY, 18 SEPTEMBER 2025

 

TEXT: ZECHARIAH 6:1-8

 

1: I looked up again, and there before me were four chariots coming out from between two mountains—mountains of bronze.

 

2: The first chariot had red horses, the second black,

 

3: the third white, and the fourth dappled—all of them powerful.

 

4: I asked the angel who was speaking to me, “What are these, my lord?”

 

5: The angel answered me, “These are the four spirits of heaven, going out from standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole world.

 

6: The one with the black horses is going toward the north country, the one with the white horses toward the west, and the one with the dappled horses toward the south.”

 

7: When the powerful horses went out, they were straining to go throughout the earth. And he said, “Go throughout the earth!” So they went throughout the earth.

 

8: Then he called to me, “Look, those going toward the north country have given my Spirit rest in the land of the north.”

TOPIC: YOU ARE CREATED FOR GOD’S PLEASURE

 

The entire earth is the creative work of God and He wants to manifest Himself throughout the earth as He establishes His authority.

 

However, the devil has engaged a lot of people to do evil things so that the attention of the people of the world would be diverted from all that God has created for His pleasure.

 

No matter how much havoc Satan causes, there will certainly come a time when God will manifest His power and overcome all the works of darkness.

 

The prophet saw the four chariots with the horses and he was made to understand that they represent the four spirits that stood in the presence of the Lord.

 

They had been released to come into the world. The one that goes to the north has given the Spirit of God rest.

 

We must therefore seek to do the bidding of God for our lives so that God will find pleasure in us.

 

QUESTION: Are you making any impact for God and His kingdom by your lifestyle?

 

PRAYER: Develop this consciousness in me, dear Lord, so that I shall continue to remember that I exist for Your pleasure, in Jesus' name. Amen.
