A Curriculum Vitae, or
CV, is a document that job applicants use to showcase their academic and
professional accomplishments.
Psalm 15 begins with an
advertisement for members of the public to apply for the position of “priesthood
of all believers” whose job is to dwell on God’s holy mountain, that is, the
presence of God.
David outlines twelve qualifications
for the job. Take a closer look at the list and you will notice that the focus
is not on religious rituals but one’s relationship with their neighbour and with
God.
The Church in Africa
often suffers because those attending church fail to see the connection between
their worship and their daily lives and between their communion in the church
and the division that exists within society. Thus, worship becomes a mere
routine, unaccompanied by deep reflection.
QUESTION: Do
you posses the requirement outlined in Psalm 15?
