TEXT: Nehemiah
13:14-22
TOPIC: GOD,
REMEMBER ME
Remembering has to do
with recalling what one has done, whether good or bad. Remembering as a process
of recalling memories of good works is at the heart of today’s devotion.
Nehemiah called on God to
remember him (vs. 14) for all the works he faithfully carried out. He
confidently enumerated the works he had done which were worthy of recalling.
He recalled how he
stopped the people of the Mediterranean from selling and buying on the day of
the Sabbath (vs. 15-20).
Nehemiah started his
warning to the nobles and the merchants (vs. 21). This shows that every good
work would always be remembered, if done faithfully.
QUESTION: Can
you confidently recall the good works you have faithfully done for God to
remember you?
PRAYER: O
Lord, thank You for who You are. You remember every good and bad work one has
done, and your reward is in Your hands. Help me to faithfully carry our any
work You or my leaders have assigned to me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Remain
Blessed
