TEXT: Numbers
12:1-13
TOPIC: SEEKING
GOD AMIDST FAMILY FEUD
Disputes, disagreements,
rivalry, jealousy and envy do occur even among siblings.
Our text shows us how
Aaron and Miriam, Moses’ older brother and sister, complained against him. As
it is many times the case, their problem had to do with Moses’ wife. She was
not from their tribe.
God had to step into the
matter. And He did so in instant judgment, which left Miriam leprous. Lepers in
Bible times were not allowed to associate with other people.
Family feud is bound to
happen to any family. It becomes very difficult however, if it is about
someone’s spouse, and especially centering on tribe.
Two have become one and
any intrusion would be met with God’s judgment! There may be a cold war going
on in your extended family.
Serve as an agent of
bringing peaceful co-existence. God will help you do that as you seek Him
earnestly in prayer for wisdom.
QUESTION:
What is the feud tearing your family apart?
PRAYER:
You have called me to live in peace with You, O Lord. Help to extend peace to
my extended family. Amen.

Remain
Blessed
