LOVE GOD BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US
The subject of love is
one that is most talked about in church and general society. A day like today,
Valentine, reminds us of the need to be a bit more deliberate about our need to
love.
Our text directs our
minds to love God because He loved us first. The reason there is a day known as
Valentine is because we naturally would not love without a compelling reason.
Left on our own, we will
only demand love, but will not give it to others. When we benefit from God’s
love, we are expected to extend same to Him and others.
On this Valentine’s Day,
there is need to practically demonstrate love as we have received.
What are your plans for
the day? Are those plans God-glorifying or selfish? God’s kind of love is very
scare in our world today, let it go round!

Is Jesus a central part of your Valentine?
PRAYER:
Dear Jesus, help me to know and demonstrate Your kind of love. Let those around
me see it. Amen.
