TOPIC: SEEKING
GOD IN THE RACE OF LIFE
Today’s text tells us
about the spiritual race that involves all believers. There are witnesses
watching, challenges and hindrances along the way. While the witnesses are
cheering us on, the hindrances and obstacles are trying to pull us backwards.
Whatever choices we make
determine our tenacity in seeking God in this race of life. Interestingly, God,
whom we seek, is merciful as the Apostle Paul tells us Romans9:16.
When we source our
strength from the cloud of witnesses cheering us on, join that energy with
God’s mercy, we can overcome the obstacles that seek to weigh us down and win
the race.
Have you learned the
secret of winning the race of life? It is in seeking God and receiving
encouragement from the fellowship of others believers. You have no reason to
lose the race!
QUESTION:
Are you counting on God’s mercy and the encouragement of believers to win your
race?
PRAYER:
Father, urge me on, avail me of Your mercy in this race of life. Amen.
