TEXT:
Jeremiah 29:10-13
TOPIC:
SEEKING GOD IN THE PLACE OF PRAYER
People seek God and His
intervention in and from different places nowadays. It is appalling to note
that some even seek God’s help from soothsayers and outright juju priests.
The theme of ECWA this
year, which comes from verse 13 of our text, is preceded by God’s promise of
bringing His people back from Babylon and of a good future for them (vs 10-11).
Jesus Christ, in His
earthly life and ministry, demonstrated how important prayer was in seeking His
father’s will. Christ prayed uncountable times during His earthly ministry:
before selecting the twelve disciples, He prayed (Matt. 4:1-25).
Prior to His arrest at
Gethsemane (Matt. 27:36-45). On the cross, when culminating His earthly
ministry (Matt. 27:45-47). If Jesus Christ, being God and not lacking anything,
prayed, then we also need to do the same.
QUESTION:
Is prayer a burden or a delight to you?
PRAYER: I want to know You, O Lord. I want to know You
through the place of prayer, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Remain
Blessed
