TEXT:
Job 6:1-30
TOPIC:
CONCRETE SOLUTIONS ONLY COME FROM GOD
Today’s text is about
Job’s response to another friend.
Job still talked about
his ordeal and wished for God to have crushed him when he listened to the
counsel of his other friend who wanted him to be patient.
He scolded his friend
for not putting himself in his own shoes. Job believed that there was no
concrete solution from the works of men, particularly this friend who had come
to counsel him.
He saw that all his
arguments did not hold water. Instead of such words to encourage and comfort
Job, they were full of discouragement.
We have seen Christians
go through suffering with brethren who should be agents of encouragement only
becoming sources of sorrow to them.
Christians should
support brethren who are passing through suffering and calamities.
QUESTION:
Have you accused someone wrongly? As a believer, have you also, this concept,
teaching and philosophy of “someone is suffering is suffering because he sins?”
PRAYER:
Lord, from today, help me to be a source of healing for those are going or
passing through suffering. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
