TEXT:
Acts 26:1-18
TOPIC:
PAUL’S DEFENCE BEFORE KING AGRIPPA
Apostle
Paul is now standing before the man whose great-grandfather tried to kill Jesus
as a baby. Paul wanted him to examine his case again since he was one of the
highest officials of the Roman Supreme Court.
He
also saw it as an opportunity to preach the gospel to kings and rulers in
fulfilment of the word of God (cf. Acts 9:15).
Are
we preaching Christ or keeping quite in the presence of high government
officials in our country?
For
Paul, the meeting with King Agrippa was an occasion to present how he started
his early life as a faithful Jew and Pharisee, his life from youth and now as a
believer in Christ.
He
showed how Jesus revealed Himself to him on the road to Damascus. Because
Christ had commissioned him to bring more souls to Him, he was now a minister
and a witness.
We
are called to run with the message of the death and resurrection of Jesus to
the whole world.
Brethren,
people may not see your own view, but God will give you the power of full
expression to make you convince people towards surrendering their lives to the
resurrected Christ.
QUESTION: Like
Apostle Paul, have you found an occasion for presenting the resurrected Christ
(the gospel) to the kings and rulers of your nation?
PRAYER: O
Lord, help me to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ so that Christ
Himself will convince people in darkness and bring them to the light of His
saving knowledge, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
