NUMBERS 20:14-29
TOPIC:
RESPONDING TO REJECTION FROM LOVED ONES.
The
challenges of life can even come from our wives husbands, parents, children and
even other members of our extended families.
The
Israelites suffered in the hands of the Edomites who were their brothers.
Remember that God had said that they were going to wander in the wilderness for
40 years. This could be part of the fulfilment of that punishment. While they
were passing through this challenge, God chose to take unto Himself the high
priest, Aaron, and replaced him with his son, Eleazar.
God
was preparing a nation that is not polluted as He had told Moses when they
rebelled against Him at Meribah. No matter how close we are to God, we must
make every effort to be obey Him.
QUESTION: Have
you ever experienced rejection from the very people you felt would never
disappoint you?
PRAYER: Help me to understand that even those I hold close to my heart could turn against me and help me to love them even when that happens, in Jesus name. Amen.
