TEXT:
Acts 14:21-28
21.
When they had preached the gospel to that city and had made many disciples,
they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch,
22.
Strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the
faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of
God.
23.
And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and
fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed.
24.
Then they passed through Pisidia and came to Pampgylia.
25.
And when they had spoken the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia,
26.
and from there they sailed to Antioch, where they had been commended to the
grace of God for the work that they had fulfilled.
27.
And when they arrived and gathered the church together, they declared all that
God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.
28.
And they remained no little time with the disciples.

TOPIC:
ENCOURAGE FELLOW BRETHREN
Paul and Barnabas
preached and made many disciples in Derbe and returned to Lystra, Iconium and
Antioch of Pisidia. There they encouraged brethren to continue in the faith,
even in the face of suffering and hardships.
They also appointed
elders in every church and with prayer and fasting handed them over to the Lord
for prudent leadership.
These apostles reported
to the brethren everything to the Lord did through them, including how He
opened the door of faith to the Gentiles. Leaders and workers in the field
should attach themselves to brethren in the church and let them know what God
is doing through them so that they can pray for them.
Church leaders must
also encourage their communities and country as a whole through Godly
leadership.
QUESTION:
DO you encourage fellow believers in Christ and other people in your community?
PRAYER:
Grant me the grace and determination, dear Lord, to be a source of
encouragement to my fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord and members of my
community. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
