TEXT: MATTHEW 23:15
TOPIC: USE YOUR PRIVILEGES IN THE RIGHT WAY
MATTHEW 23:15 NIV
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you
hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you
have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.
USE YOUR PRIVILEGES IN THE RIGHT WAY
This passage reveals the danger of zeal without
truth.
Jesus rebukes the religious leaders for their
fervent missionary efforts that ultimately led others away from God rather than
toward Him.
Although they appeared committed, their message was
rooted in pride, control, and outward religion rather than genuine
transformation.
This verse serves as a sobering reminder that
misused influence can lead others astray.
As followers of Christ, our passion must be anchored
in the Gospel, not in tradition, personal gain, or empty ritual.
Are we leading others closer to Christ, or are we
shaping them into reflections of our flawed priorities?
Let us examine our motives and methods, ensuring
they align with God’s heart and truth. True discipleship always leads to
freedom, not bondage.
QUESTION: Are you leading others closer to Christ,
or shaping them into reflections of your flawed priorities?
PRAYER: Father, purify my heart and motives. May I
lead others to You with humility, truth, and love that reflects the Gospel. Amen.
