The Daily Anchor: Holding Firm in Christ

WEDNESDAY, 10 SEPTEMBER 2025

TEXT: Malachi 4:1-6

TOPIC: TRUST IN GOD EVEN WHEN HE SEEMS TO BE ABSENT

God is concerned about His children even when things seem to be moving in a way that bring a lot of questions to our minds.

The wicked seem to prosper while the righteous seem to be suffering. Some have even abandoned the faith and joined the wicked because they feel that God is missing in action.

But God gave a strong assurance of His ever-abiding presence with the righteous whenever they are maltreated by the wicked. He said that He will act in His usual character by punishing the wicked while the righteous will be saved and celebrated.

This is enough to encourage all of us to continue living a righteous life so as to reap the harvest at the appointed time.

QUESTION: How do you feel whenever God seems to delay in punishing the wicked?

PRAYER: Help me, dear Lord, to persist even when Your works appear to confuse me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Remain Blessed
