ROBBING GOD
Tithing has been a
subject of hot debate and controversy among Christians. Some feel that the
person who has the tithe can decide what to do with it while others feel
differently. Some teach that tithing is an Old Testament practice that was done
away with in the New Testament. As a result, the average Christian has been confused
by the many instructions about this subject.
In today’s passage, when God
spoke about tithe, He accused His people of not doing what He had prescribed. He
then instructed them to bring all tithes into His storehouse so that there
would be food so that they would enjoy all the blessings that come from their
tithing.
We must practice tithing
the way the Lord prescribed it so as to get His blessings.
QUESTION: What
does tithing mean to you and how do you practice it?
PRAYER: Dear Lord, help to stop robbing You by not tithing
so that I can enjoy the blessings You have in store for me, in Jesus’ name.
