TEXT:
Ezra 7:11-28
TOPIC:
THE HEART OF THE KING IS CONTROLLED BY GOD
God works on an
unbelieving king to accomplish His plans toward the return of the Israelites to
Jerusalem.
Artaxerxes was known as
the king of kings during his time vs. 12. Besides allowing the Israelites to
leave Babylon, they were allowed to take gold and silver from Babylon to in
turn buy bulls, rams, male lambs, and grains for sacrifices.
The king also ordered
treasurers of Trans-Euphrates to provide whatever Ezra needed. All of these
were possible because Ezra singled himself out as a priest and teacher of the
Law (vs. 21).
QUESTION:
How are you regarded by the authorities of your time?
PRAYER:
Father Lord, help me to represent You well so as to command integrity for the
expansion of God’s kingdom. Amen.

Remain
Blessed
