Scripture Reflections: Finding God’s Voice in Every Verse

TEXT: GENESIS 2:18-25

 

TOPIC: THE MOST SUITABLE COMPANION

 

Someone was overheard exclaiming, "Women, you never can understand them!" Then, a woman answered him, "How can you ever understand someone that was created when you were deeply asleep?"

 

Whether men understand women or not, of all creatures created by God, women still remain the most suitable companions for men and the best for relationship and fellowship.

 

In this sin-ridden world, humans are increasingly resorting to animals like cats, dogs, and all kinds of pets for companionship, especially in the so-termed advanced western world

 

Companionship with animals must have it's limits. Close or intimate companionship with animals is an aberration to God's original design and should never take the place of companionship with fellow humans, especially our wives and husbands if we are married.

 

QUESTION: Have you been blessed with the companion of a wife or husband, or do you desire one?

 

PRAYER: Oh God, I pray that you bless and help me maintain close companionship with my spouse, in Jesus' name. Amen.
