TEXT:
Acts 27:1-26
TOPIC:
APOSTLE PAUL’S VOYAGE TO ROME
Paul,
who was a prisoner, is now the master of the ship. The power of God was still
being made manifest in Paul’s present position.
The
Lord was good to him and his companions to the extent that he became an adviser
to the captain and crew of the ship.
Even
though the period of the year was dangerous for sailing, the Lord was with Paul
and his companions.
Traveling
on most of our roads today is dangerous, but the kind of abiding
presence of God that was with Paul and his companions is still present with
believers today.
The
Centurion insisted on sailing on rather than listen to the advice and opinion
of Paul. But along the line, the ship encountered great difficulties in a storm
and measures were taken to save it.
Paul
re-assured the crew that although they failed to listen to his advice, there
would be no loss of life.
As
children of God, we need to listen to God so as to be in a seemingly hopeless
situation in our life’s journey.
Everything
may not be easy for those who belong to God and serve Him. But His watchful
eyes and active care are always present with believers who are going through
suffering and hopeless situations worldwide.
QUESTION: Brethren,
are you going through so much difficulties and suffering that make you feel
there is no hope?
PRAYER: Help
me, O Lord, to know that even in the midst of suffering and hopelessness, Your
watchful eyes and care are always present with me, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
