Them He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:
3.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
5.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
6.
Blessed are the those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall
be filled.
7.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
8.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
9.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
10.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the
kingdom of heaven.
11.
“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil
against you falsely for My sake.
12.
Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so
they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

TOPIC:
THE ATTITUDE OF THE CHRISTIAN
This chapter records
the longest teaching of Jesus which is referred to as “The Sermon on the
Mount”. It contains Jesus’ expectations of all Christians that are called to
impact a polluted world.
Jesus listed seven
conditions that should characterize the life of Christians for them to access
the blessings He has in store for them.
Every Christian is
expected to express his or her desire for God and the willingness to represent
Him wherever they find themselves.
This could come with
great challenges but we are instructed to rejoice because even those whose went
ahead of us were rejected.
But God who sees the
impact we create in the world will reward our services to Him and the world we
live in.
QUESTION:
What impact are you making in the environment you live?
PRAYER:
Dear Father, please help me to represent You well in my sphere of existence so
that people will see You at work and be drawn to You, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
