TEXT:
1 Corinthians 15:51-58
51.
Listen very careful, I tell you a mystery [a secret truth decreed by God and
previously hidden, but now revealed]; we will not all sleep [in death], but we
will all be [completely] changed [wondrously transformed],
52.
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at [the sound of] the last trumpet
call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [who believed in Christ] will be
raised imperishable, and we will be [completely] changed [wondrously
transformed].
53.
And when this perishable puts on the imperishable [nature], and this mortal
[part of us that is capable of dying] must put om Immortality [which is freedom
from death].
54.
And when this perishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then the
Scripture will be fulfilled that says, “Death is swallowed up in victory
(vanquished forever).
55.
O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
56.
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin [by which it brings death] is
the law;
57.
but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord
Jesus Christ.
58.
Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always
excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than
is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of
exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].

Version Holy Bible)
TOPIC:
PAUL CONCLUDES TEACHING ON RESURRECTION OF CHRISTIANS
This is the conclusion
of Paul’s teaching on the resurrection of the Christians.
He began by telling the
readers something that can only be understood by the spiritual and not mere
human perception. It was something they could not understand except God
revealed it to them.
What is this mystery?
Not all Christians will die, there will be a “Final generation” who will be
transformed into resurrection bodies at the return of Jesus before they ever
face death.
The coming will be
sudden, the last trumpet shall sound and in a single moment, Jesus will return
for those who belong to Him.
He will gather His
people, both dead and on the earth, to Himself for resurrection. And all
believers in Christ Jesus, the living and the dead, will be transformed into
the glorified, eternal bodies God has promised us.
It is an instant
gathering of Christians unto Jesus in the clouds, rapture or being caught up.
This resurrection is
the final defeat of death; the corruptible will put on incorruptible and the
mortal will put on immortality; and death will no longer have power over any person
found in Jesus Christ because death has become a defeated enemy.
Therefore, let us as
believers be unshakable and stand firm even more for Him because He is not
unjust to forget our work and labour of love which each person has shown
towards Him.
QUESTION:
Do you also believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ?
PRAYER:
O Lord, as we await Your second coming, please count me worthy to resurrect
with You, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
