TEXT:
2 Corinthians 3:1-6
TOPIC:
NEW IDENTITY IN CHRIST
Paul begins today’s
passage with the assumption that all he wrote or said was liable to be
misinterpreted by the false teachers in Corinth.
He then points out to
believers in Corinth that they are his letter which is written on their hearts
and known by everyone. The letter is not written with ink or on tablets but by
the Spirit on their hearts.
In other words, their
selection and setting apart by the Holy Spirit is the written mark.
Paul expresses such
confidence through Christ. The competence is not in Paul and his team but in
God.
God has made them
competent through their new identity which is the Spirit that gives life.
QUESTION:
How do you stand out as a letter for others to read?
PRAYER:
Father, remind me to understand that my new identity in Christ is for people to
read You through me, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
