TEXT:
Psalm 24:1-10
1.
The earth and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants, belong to the
LORD;
2.
for He laid its foundation on the seas and established it on the rivers.
3.
Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in His holy place?
4.
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not set his mind on what
is false, and who has not sworn deceitfully.
5.
He will receive blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his
salvation.
6.
Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek the face of the God of
Jacob. Selah
7.
Lift up your heads, you gates! Rise up, ancient doors! Then the King of glory
will come in.
8.
Who is this king of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in
battle.
9.
Lift up your heads, you gates! Rise up, ancient doors! Then the King of glory
will come in.
10.
Who is He, this King of glory? The LORD of Hosts, He is the King of Glory.

TOPIC:
THE INVINCIBLE GOD
This Psalm portrays God
as the most powerful God who created the entire universe and everything in it.
All the people of this earth belong to Him.
What a great and mighty
God we serve! This Psalm may have been written to celebrate the transfer of the
Ark of the Covenant from Obed-Edom’s house to Jerusalem.
According to tradition,
it was sung on the first day of each week during Temple services.
Verse 1-6 tell about
who is worthy to join such a celebration of worship before the invincible God
who requires clean hands, pure hearts, honesty and loyalty from His children in
whose presence ancient gates and doors are opened.
QUESTION:
Do you still tell lies or worship idols but come before this invincible God?
PRAYER: O Lord, please cleanse me so that I can be presentable before You, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
