TEXT:
1 Chronicles 16:28-36
28.
Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples, Ascribe to the LORD glory and
honor and strength.
29.
Ascribe to the LORD the glory and honor de His name; Bring an offering [of
thanksgiving], and come before Him; Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.
30.
Tremble [reverently] before Him, all the earth; The world is firmly
established, it will not be moved.
31.
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; And let them say among the
nations, “The LORD reigns.”
32.
Let the sea roar, and all the things that fill it; Let the field rejoice, and
all that is in it.
33.
Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the LORD; For He comes to
judge and govern the earth.
34.
O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness endures
forever.
35.
Then say, “Save us, O God of salvation; Gather us together and rescue us from
the nations, That we may give thanks to Your holy name, And glory in Your
praise.”
36.
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, Forever and ever. And all the people
said, “Amen,” and praised the LORD.
(Amplified Version Holy Bible)
TOPIC:
GOD BE GLORIFIED
Human
beings generally love to honour and glorify themselves for their wealth, position,
education, etc. But today's passage teaches us that God alone deserves to be
glorified for He is greater than all of creation in all ramifications.
Therefore,
the whole earth should be afraid of His awesome greatness and rejoice for He
reigns over all And if the seas, trees and nature as a whole praise God's
splendour, man should learn to do same as he has no excuse not to give God
glory and rejoice in Him.
Also,
no matter how man feels about his seeming unanswered prayers, God is still in
the business of answering prayers and granting salvation mankind. For these,
humanity should forever be grateful to God.
QUESTION: What
has taken the place of God in your life so much so that you find it difficult
to praise and glory Him?
PRAYER: O
Lord, forgive me for I often try to glorify myself for my little achievements
in life. Teach me to number my days and apply my heart to the wisdom that only
You should be glorified and praised, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
