HANDING OVER THE BATON
King
David did not worry about the negative things that had happened but focused on
God’s positive plans for Israel.
That
was unlike some leaders who would endlessly dwell on the ills of the past
administration. David under-stood that Israel belongs to God and that God
chooses whoever He wants to work with.
Therefore,
for Solomon to succeed, he should listen to and obey God’s word and show
wholehearted devotion and willingness to serve – knowing that God sees every
heart.
David
gave Solomon the plans of the temple, every article, weapons and a handover
note.
QUESTION:
Are you the type of leader or person that helps others to succeed or do you
frustrate them?
PRAYER: Dear
Lord, help me not to withhold anything that would make my successor succeed and
make me an all-round transparent person, in Jesus name. Amen.
