TEXT:
Psalm 104:1-12
1.
Let all that I am praise the LORD. O LORD my God, how great you are! You are
robbed with honor and majesty.
2.
You are dressed in a robe of light. You stretch out the starry curtain of the
heavens;
3.
you lay out the rafters of your home in the rain clouds. You make the clouds
your chariot; you ride upon the wings of the wind.
4.
The winds are your messengers; flames of fire are your servants.
5.
You placed the world on its foundation so it would never be moved.
6.
You clothed the earth with floods of water, water that covered even the
mountains.
7.
At your command, the water fled; at the sound of your thunder, it hurried away.
8.
Mountains rose and valleys sank to the levels you decreed.
9.
Then you set a firm boundary for the seas, so they would never again cover the
earth.
10.
you make springs pour water into the ravines, so streams gush down from the
mountains.
11.
They provide water for all the animals, and the wild donkeys quench their
thirst.
12.
The birds nest beside the streams and sing among the branches of the trees.

TOPIC:
TAKE CARE OF GOD’S UNIVERSE
God’s
greatness is portrayed in many ways through His creative activities on the face
of the earth.
When
we carefully look at the trees, mountains, seas, clouds and many other things
that God has arranged in their respective positions, we see the expressions of
order and greatness.
In
today’s passage, the Psalmist describes the greatness of God through His
creative works. God set the foundation of the earth in a way that no one can
ever move it.
He
brought the waters upon the earth not only to beautify His creative wok but to
also provide for the beasts of the fields. No wonder, the wild donkeys drink
from the water to quench their thirst, the birds of the sky nest by the waters
and sing amongst the branches.
Therefore,
we need to appreciate the importance of everything that God has created and
strive to glorify Him by keeping these things intact to fulfil their reasons
for existence.
QUESTION:
Do you protect or destroy the things God has created?
PRAYER:
Help me, dear God, to fulfil my role of taking care of the things You have
created so that the other creatures can benefit from them, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remain
Blessed
