NUMBERS 12:1-16
TOPIC:
GOD IS THE BEST JUDGE OF EVERY ACTION
What
the Israelites experienced during their journey leaves many lessons for us as
contemporary Christians.
Because
Aaron and Miriam were Moses' siblings, they felt that they had authority to
challenge and question him about some of the decisions he had taken.
They
questioned his choice of a wife from the Cushite which appeared to be against
the will of the Lord for the Jewish community.
However,
God responded in a way that surprised them as well as many of us who feel that
we can "fight for God" or defend His cause in the things men are
doing. He punished Miriam for leading a protest against the servant of God.
We
must learn to allow God deal with the problems in the lives of people, except
we are recognized by the Church to do otherwise.
QUESTION: How
do you react to church leaders and other Christians when you feel they are
wrong?
PRAYERS: Help
me, dear Lord, to assist and not destroy or fight others when I feel that they
are wrong in whatever they do, in Jesus name. Amen.
